Lab Grown Meat

Simply put, I am a proponent for the push of lab grown meat. However, I do realize that this is not a financially sustainable solution (now). With that in mind, the FDA will push to making lab grown meat competitive in price to farm grown meat. Lab grown is not a living animal, and does not need to eat, nor care for when ill. Lab grown meat should eventually be much cheaper than farm meat. We just need to produce in economies of scale. Lab grown meats will have the muscle that we eat along with the necessary fat. You simply need to extract the cells from the animal, and use that to grow the meat without needing to “care” or slaughter the meat.

This means a milking animal can be kept to produce milk, and the cells can be extracted for meat. This will of course mean that livestock is still required for milking and breeding, but the number of cattle needed for consumption will be much less. This will be the most environmentally sustainable solution to give everyone the meat they wish to have while still be sustainable. This also make animal welfare organizations happy that there will be a sustainable more humane solutions for the animals that are needed for our use.
